Brawl Stars: Brawler Tier List

Brawl Stars tier list for September 2026. Every brawler is ranked by win rates, pick rates, and top 200 player data. Find the strongest brawlers in the current meta.

Last updated:

Even with over 100 different brawlers in Brawl Stars, it's only a portion of the top brawlers that control most ranked Brawl Stars lobbies. Supercell introduced aggressive balance changes along with the Buffie system, and the meta received a real shake-up, resulting in an ever-widening gap between top-tier and bottom-tier brawlers.

These tier lists help you know which best brawlers in the game are worth your trophies and which ones turn into donations for your opponents.

How We Rank Every Brawler in Brawl Stars

This tier list is based on a combination of data with win and pick rates from the top players in the world, and community rankings, filtered for consistency across modes like Gem Grab and Heist. This means the best brawlers in the game that dominate a single game mode won't rank in S-tier. More factors include ease of use, Starpowers, and Hypercharges.

Meta Overview

The current meta strongly favors burst assassins and high-mobility specialists, with S tier packed full of brawlers who dominate through aggressive positioning and rapid elimination. Edgar, Starr Nova, Surge, Sirius, Nori, Wendy, Shade, and Gus set the pace at the top, while a deep A tier keeps the competitive landscape varied. Adaptability and quick rotations remain essential, rewarding players who can capitalize on both close-range pressure and flexible support tools across all game modes.

S Tier

Edgar leads the charge with devastating close-range burst that punishes any misposition, while Starr Nova complements him with exceptional map control and aggressive assassination potential. Surge rewards relentless pressure through his powerful upgrade mechanic, scaling into a dominant force as matches progress. Sirius brings versatile damage output paired with superior positioning tools, making him a consistent threat across multiple game modes. Nori excels at rapid eliminations and denying enemy rotations, while Wendy offers a unique blend of crowd control and burst damage that disrupts team fights. Shade applies relentless pressure from unexpected angles, punishing opponents who overextend. Gus rounds out this elite tier with reliable support utility and surprising offensive capability. Together, these eight brawlers define the current meta through superior mobility, burst potential, and strategic versatility.

A Tier

Mortis anchors the A tier with unmatched mobility and team fight disruption, while Brock delivers powerful long-range burst that controls open lanes. Meg scales impressively into late-game scenarios, and Max provides unparalleled speed support that elevates any team composition. Bibi punishes close-range engagements with her shield and knockback mechanics, while Kit offers flexible utility across multiple roles. Colt excels at shredding through walls and enemies alike, and Griff applies relentless economic pressure with his coin-based attacks. Emz controls choke points with her area-denial abilities, and Rico rounds out this strong tier with devastating wall-bounce burst potential.

B Tier

Colette serves as a reliable tank-buster thanks to her percentage-based damage, while Crow applies persistent poison pressure that denies healing. Ash brings rage-fueled resilience and solid crowd control, and Chester offers unpredictable burst through his randomized super mechanic. Frank delivers powerful area control with his hammer, and Otis silences enemies at critical moments. 8-Bit provides strong damage-boosting support, while Leon excels at sneaky eliminations with his invisibility. Stu rewards aggressive play with his rapid super cycling, Janet offers aerial burst damage, and Sprout controls zones effectively with his hedge-wall super.

C Tier

Damian, Bolt, Byron, Jacky, Rosa, Sam, Amber, and Lou occupy the C tier, each offering situational value but struggling for consistency in the current meta. Byron provides healing and poison utility but requires precise aim, while Rosa and Jacky offer tankiness that is too easily countered. Amber and Lou deliver area control that stronger brawlers outperform, and Sam, Bolt, and Damian lack the burst or mobility needed to keep pace reliably.

D Tier

Tick and Nova occupy the D tier, both struggling significantly in the current competitive environment. Tick's mine-laying mechanic is too easily avoided by the mobile brawlers dominating the meta, leaving him with minimal impact in most game modes. Nova similarly fails to keep pace, lacking the burst potential and positioning tools necessary to compete effectively against higher-tier brawlers. Both are best avoided in serious competitive play until future balance changes improve their standing.

Final Verdict

The current game meta rewards aggression, so the best thing to do is to lean into it as meta shifts in favor of aggressive playstyles, and the best brawlers to choose are those capable of forcing fights. Pick brawlers capable of forcing fights, and pair them with effective supports while banning S-tier counters.
