The current patch tipped the balance with reworks, nerfs, and the emergence of an absurdly high win-rate jungle monster in Nidalee. But these League of Legends meta shifts come in fast, so there's not a lot of time to learn before a new set arrives. This LoL tier list will keep you up to speed on the best champions to play.
How We Rank These Champions
Win rate, pick rate, and ban rate are all based on data from Emerald+ solo queues on Summoner's Rift globally. These latest patch ban rates and pick rates are combined with pro player trends, accessibility, skill requirements, and team synergies. Win rate is relative to other data, meaning a character with a 55% win rate but a 1% pick rate is more of an outlier than a lock-in at S-Tier.

Meta Overview
The current meta emphasizes versatile champions with strong teamfight presence and scaling potential. S-tier is dominated by champions offering exceptional utility and damage output, with Smolder and Brand leading the charge alongside support powerhouses like Seraphine and Ammu.
Traditional picks see mixed results, with some falling to lower tiers while others maintain strong positioning. The landscape favors champions who can adapt to multiple team compositions and provide consistent value throughout all game phases.

S Tier
Smolder leads the tier with his exceptional scaling potential and late-game carry threat, while Brand delivers devastating area-of-effect damage in teamfights. Seraphine provides unmatched utility scaling and crowd control, making her invaluable in grouped scenarios.
Amumu excels with his game-changing ultimate and consistent engage potential, while Fizz dominates with his burst damage and slippery mobility. Nilah offers unique ADC utility with her damage sharing mechanics, and Teemo rounds out the tier with his map control and objective denial capabilities. These champions currently define the meta with their versatile kits and consistent performance.
A Tier
Soraka and Nami provide exceptional healing and utility for team compositions, while Viktor offers reliable wave clear and teamfight control. Olaf and Rammus excel in their respective jungle roles with strong engage and durability.
Singed brings unique map pressure and team disruption, while Kled offers aggressive engage potential. Ziggs provides long-range poke and objective control, Janna delivers consistent peel and disengage, and Shyvana rounds out the tier with her scaling damage and teamfight presence.
B Tier
Garen maintains his position as a reliable top lane pick with strong dueling and teamfight presence, while Kayle offers exceptional late-game scaling potential. Lee Sin provides early-game pressure and mobility in the jungle, complemented by Renekton's lane dominance.
Sona delivers consistent healing and utility scaling, while Braum excels at protecting carries with his defensive capabilities. Illaoi dominates teamfights in favorable conditions, and Warwick rounds out the tier with his sustain and pick potential. These champions remain solid choices despite not reaching higher tiers.
C Tier
Malphite provides reliable engage and armor scaling but lacks versatility in the current meta. Swain offers decent teamfight control and sustain, while Jarvan IV maintains utility through his engage and terrain manipulation.
Miss Fortune delivers strong area-of-effect damage in teamfights, and Tahm Kench provides unique utility with his devour mechanic and tankiness. These champions face significant limitations that prevent higher tier placement.
D Tier
Jinx struggles with positioning requirements and lacks early-game impact despite her scaling potential. Veigar faces mobility issues and requires extensive setup time, while Tryndamere's split-push focused kit proves too narrow for current team compositions. These champions need significant team support or favorable matchups to succeed.
